Thanks to the generosity of the Bearden community, the Foundation has raised more than $900,000 for Bearden High School since the Foundation was established in 1998. The Foundation’s primary fundraising vehicles consist of an outreach campaign in the fall to every currently enrolled Bearden family  and the Bearden Golf Classic in the spring. Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to help support the work of the Bearden Foundation. Every dollar makes a difference at Bearden High School!

Dear Bearden High School Families,     Bearden High School will soon be launching               the annual BHS Foundation’s
In years past, we have had parent volunteers calling every BHS family requesting donations for our annual fundraiser. But this year, we are using some 21st century technology to raise the funds BHS needs with the help of supportive BHS Alumni and Friends.
The BHS Foundation raises funds to fulfill both unfunded and underfunded needs for classrooms, clubs, and teams to help make BHS the best school in Knox County. The BHS Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Your donation is tax-deductible. BHS needs every BHS family to contribute. Our goal this year is for every household to give at least $10/month or $100 and participate by donating what they can.
Thank you to those who have already donated! Some of you have already answered our request by mailing a check in the envelope enclosed in this year’s Foundation Focus newsletter. The Foundation strives to ensure every student at BHS benefits from the money donated to the BHS Foundation. Each year the Foundation funds as many classroom projects as possible and sets aside critical funds for a significant capital project. The total monies raised by the Foundation over the years is approaching a Million Dollars and supports Academics, Theatre, Band, Sports, Clubs, Security, Administration, and Teacher Development -- all to benefit and educate our Students. The needs are greater than ever, now that BHS is the largest school in Knox County. Please help Bearden make 2019-20 the best school year yet! When you donate, consider the added value your dollars might bring to our school and give generously to help Bearden High continue to be a school of excellence.

Foundation Phone-A-Thon

a ringing success for Bearden

The Phone-A-Thon has been one of the Foundation’s primary fundraisers, involving dozens of volunteers reaching out to the school community at large. The Fall 2018 campaign raised more than $24,000, funds essential to the Foundation’s work supporting Bearden High School. This event would not have succeeded without the generous spirit and hard work of our Board members, parent volunteers and many Bearden students. The Foundation thanks Texas Roadhouse and Soccer Taco for providing great food during the campaign.

Answering the call: Volunteers gather in the library before contacting potential donors. The 2018 Phone-A-Thon raised more

than $24,000 for the school.
