Accolades and Awards

  • Girls’ basketball – Record setting season that included an undefeated regular season, District champions, Region champions, 57 game winning streak, 35-1 record, and a Miss Basketball awardee for the second consecutive year.

  • Dance Team - UDA National Champions in Large Varsity Game Day for 3 straight years, Double Titled State Champions.

  • Wrestling - Kiera Blevins finished 3rd TSSAA Girls State Tournament. She finishes the season with a 27-2 record.

  • Band - Superior ratings from every judge at the Large Ensemble Assessment by the East Tennessee Band and Orchestra Association (ETSBOA). Their level of mastery was recognized by an American School Band Directors Association Award of Excellence.

  • Chorus – Superior ratings for Bearden Singers in every performance category and Superior overall for Bearden Belles at the East Tennessee Vocal Association's JB Lyle Choral Festival. Due to these scores, both groups have qualified to perform in the TNACDA State Choral Festival.

  • Orchestra – Overall Superior rating at the Large Ensemble Assessment by the ETSBOA.

  • Theatre – Two students were selected members of the all-star cast for the Southeastern Theatre Conference festival and the production Badger was awarded Excellence in World Creation for our physcality and pantomime work.

  • DECA – Honored at the state competition for doubling membership from last year, 14 students made the stage for top test score, role play score, or top 8 overall in their event, and one student swept his entire event by receiving 1st place in all three. Five students qualified for Nationals.

  • Comp TIA Exam- First KCS Student Vlad Serov to earn an industry certification in cyber technology. He earned his sixth Comp TIA certification and is now CyberSecurtiyAnalyst (CySA+) certified.
