BHS Principal announces spring gifts

The Visual Arts department was gifted two cameras for the school's photography classes.

Our wonderful and supportive BHS Foundation and PTSO fund a variety of teacher gift requests. Many in the Bearden community have contributed to these two school support organizations through PTSO memberships, generous donations to the BHS Foundation, PTSO School Store purchases, and participation in the Foundation’s golf tournament. We deeply appreciate your financial support of these organizations. Together, they ARE Bearden High School’s booster club. This spring, the BHS Foundation and PTSO made possible classroom innovations that will benefit students and staff this semester:

  • Supplies and supplemental groceries for our International Club.

  • Xerox printers and toner cartridges for our College and Career Center to our school profile, publications for colleges/universities, and to print transcripts.

  • Electrophoresis kit for our Science department.

  • Foodborne outbreak lab materials for AP Biology and Biology 1 classes.

  • New pieces of music for our Choral department.

  • TP-Link 16 Port Smart Managed Network Switches, a CyberPower CPS1215RMS surge protector, and equipment to rebuild two personal computers for our Cybersecurity classes.

  • Two Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR cameras for our Visual Arts department.

  • 40” flatscreen TV and Apple TV for our English workroom.

  • Support for community based instruction for critical life skills development for our Special Education and CDC-A students.

  • Classroom novels for our ESL classroom.

  • Vermicomposting station for our AP and CP Environmental Science classes and our Wildlife Principles classes.

I hope everyone will please consider joining our PTSO and supporting our BHS Foundation. By partnering with them, you help provide the very best educational enrichment opportunities for the students at Bearden High School.
