AP Human Geography focuses on the processes, patterns and challenges of today and the future rather than on the events and issues of the past. Consequently, the course requires the most current, up-to-date resources possible. Another challenging course, AP United States Government and Politics, was relying on a textbook published in 2008 that not only was outdated but out of line with new standards and structures. In 2018-19, the Foundation awarded funds to purchase new textbooks for both AP classes.
