A year unlike any other

A Message from the Principal...

We are looking forward to having our students and staff back in the building, and have been working hard to prepare for their safe return.  This year will be unlike any other, and our faculty and staff have been preparing to teach and support kids in both traditional and virtual settings. We are learning new things every day about the world of online education, and we anticipate creative classroom innovations and school-wide collaborations as we experiment and try figure things out along the way.

The magic still happens in the classroom – whether that classroom is virtual or traditional brick and mortar. Teachers remain difference-makers in a student’s life, and our faculty and staff take seriously their mission to provide our young people with the skills and knowledge to be successful in life after high school - college, career, and participation in our global society. We appreciate our Bearden High community and the special partnership we share with parents, families, and community members.  Working together, we will help our children pursue and realize their “grown-up” dreams with bulldog grit and tenacity.

Joining me this year as part of the BHS administrative team are:

Russ Wise, Curriculum Principal

Rod Crockett, Class of 2021 Principal

Candace Greer, Class of 2022 Principal

Cara Vaughn, Class of 2023 Principal

Donald Balcom, Class of 2024 Principal and Athletic Director

We are grateful for the on-going support of our BHS Foundation, and invite you to join with them in helping us continue to provide the excellent education experience and opportunities that you have come to expect from Bearden High School.

As always—GO DAWGS!

Debbie Sayers, Principal
